Max-R products are the perfect complement for our zoo operations. The recycled content of the Max-R Lumber aligns with our vision to be a leader in conservation and the durability is beyond compare. During 2013's devastating flood, 90% of the zoo island flooded and 40 out of 44 buildings had to be gutted. Our Max-R bins not only remained intact, but after a couple of rounds with the power washer looked brand new.

The Max-R bins that we have on campus have been the impetus to forwarding our sustainability program. Students and faculty love the bins and the milk jug count has helped users to see the connection between their actions and the end product. They’ve been so well received on campus that not only are we planning on installing more, but it’s opened the door to have conversations and action items for other sustainability efforts throughout campus.
